Release and Update Policy
How SAGA maintenance updates, Fusion compatibility changes, feature requests, and future major versions are handled.
Effective date: August 5, 2026
SAGA is available through the Autodesk Design and Make Marketplace as a paid, one-time-purchase application. It is not a subscription.
Under the current SAGA 1.0 licensing model, a purchase includes the version purchased and any 1.x maintenance updates that Shawn Gordon chooses to release. Maintenance updates may include defect fixes, compatibility corrections, security fixes, and small workflow improvements. Maintenance updates are not promised on a fixed schedule.
A purchase does not promise:
- Lifetime updates
- Support for every future Fusion release
- New features on a fixed schedule
- Free access to a future major version
- Continued support for obsolete SAGA or Fusion versions
Fusion compatibility
Fusion changes over time. The publisher may release compatibility corrections when practical, but a future Autodesk change may require investigation, a workaround, a later SAGA update, or a change in the supported Fusion versions. Purchasing SAGA does not guarantee compatibility with every future Fusion release.
Major versions
A future major release, such as SAGA 2.0, may be offered separately as a paid product or upgrade. Any price, eligibility, or discount would be announced before that release; the SAGA 1.0 purchase does not create a right to a future major version.
Feature requests
Feature requests may be reviewed for future development, but they do not create a commitment, delivery date, or entitlement to implementation.
Ending support for an older version
When support for an older version ends, notice will be posted in the Release Notes or Marketplace listing when practical. Ending support does not delete the installed software or the user’s local project files.
See the Support Policy for current support scope and version-support terms.
